Chamber Launches New System to Monitor Pro-Jobs Voting by City Council and County Board

Tucson, AZ (February 19, 2016) – As part of its mission to create jobs and expand the local economy, the Tucson Metro Chamber has created a system to track and record votes taken by the Tucson City Council and the Pima County Board of Supervisors.

Votes taken by these groups on matters deemed critically important to creating jobs and expanding our local economy will be monitored and reported to Chamber investors within 24 hours of the vote.  Investors will know which elected officials voted in alignment with the established pro-jobs/pro-economy agenda of the Chamber.

Votes cast in favor of jobs and economic expansion will receive:  Job Creator
Votes cast in opposition to jobs and economic expansion will receive: Job Killer

Votes will be archived and assembled into a one-year record and then published.  The overall voting record will be used by the Chamber to assess the performance of elected officials and in decisions about candidate endorsements.
