TUCSON METRO CHAMBER’S AMBASSADORS
TUCSON METRO CHAMBER’S AMBASSADORS
The mission of the Ambassador Committee is to educate, energize and empower all Chamber members with the knowledge and resources needed to be effective and engaged Chamber colleagues. The Ambassadors strive to ensure a best-in-class member experience so that all Chamber members realize the value of their investment, promote collaboration for business growth and success, and develop meaningful professional relationships. Ambassadors meet monthly and are an extension of the Chamber staff to engage, celebrate and promote members.
Join us in celebrating the following Ambassadors who scored the highest points in Tucson Metro Chamber’s Ambassador Incentive Program. Each quarterly winner rose to the top because of their outreach support, participation in ribbon-cutting ceremonies and events, and social media engagement. The Ambassador of the year, Kat Robey, was determined by her fellow Ambassador committee via a vote from the four quarterly winners. Interested in becoming an Ambassador? Reach out to Tammy Jensen at tjensen@tucsonchamber.org.

As a relatively new office in the Tucson Metro area, and as a new investor in the Tucson Metro Chamber, I have found being in the Ambassador role brings many unexpected delights! Meeting new business owners and getting to see, firsthand, the growth of this city has been a pleasure. Celebrating openings and re-openings at ribbon-cutting ceremonies and trading ideas with members of our community has been inspiring.

As a business owner, the Tucson Metro Chamber keeps me informed, engaged, and connected. I enjoy the opportunity to learn about other businesses and to be highlighted within the business community. I especially love being a Chamber Ambassador. The ribbon-cutting ceremonies held by the Tucson Metro Chamber are an inspiring celebration of the rich history of business in Tucson. I am so happy to be a part of that history and this wonderful business community.
3rd Quarter: Holly Abbott | Desert Diamond Casino & Hotel
At the Desert Diamond Hotel, my title as Senior Sales Associate means I solicit and book conventions, group business, reunions, and local events to fill our 148 sleeping rooms and more than 10,000 square feet of conference space. I love this business and have been in the hotel sales arena for 35 years in Tucson.
I have been involved with the Metro Chamber’s Ambassadors program for more than six years. I enjoy the friendships I have made over the years and, of course, my relationships with the Chamber staff.
The Ambassadors team is filled with great people doing awesome work around Tucson, and I get to be a part of that at our meetings, mixers, ribbon cuttings, and community events.
4th Quarter: Louis Fernandez | Schooley Mitchell
Starting a business is so much like jumping out of an aircraft. It is scary, you are taking a huge risk, and you do not know what awaits you on the other end. When you finally make it work, however, you are blessed with a brand-new perspective on life.
Therefore, I have made it a priority to join the Tucson Metro Chamber Ambassador team and make a concerted effort to be there for my fellow business owners. I know how scary it is, what the risk feels like, and what a difference having a friend can make. The ambassador program brings massive value to those members who take advantage of it. You can immediately plug into a dozen people who will show up to your grand opening, send people your way, or even help your business overcome challenges like marketing, website development, recruitment, hiring, insurance, cost management and more.
I am honored to have been selected as ambassador of the quarter and look forward to working with the team and the Chamber.
