An Attitude of Gratitude: By Sandi A. Eghtesadi | Owner at Farmers Insurance

An Attitude of Gratitude

By Sandi A. Eghtesadi | Owner at Farmers Insurance

As two newlyweds looking for adventure, Tucson sounded like a wonderful place to start. We visualized what life would look like decades later and orchestrated success from the very beginning. With the beautiful desert, easygoing lifestyle, multi-cultural environment, and the top-rated University of Arizona, we knew our choice had unlimited potential. Especially because of our positive attitude, we always knew we were going to make it.

Temporary unexpected setbacks occurred over the years, of course, but by embracing change and quickly pivoting to new opportunities, we have learned many lessons and have always remained resilient. We have been extremely fortunate. With dedicated commitment, hard work and continuing education, it has not always been easy in a complicated industry. More balance would have been welcome. However, taking small positive steps every day with purpose and integrity has kept us focused on our passion to take care of our family, clients, and community. Failure has never been an option with our vision of success and making a difference.

My husband and I joined forces professionally 32 years ago to take the next leap and we have never looked back. We succeeded with our goal to own a multi-generational family business. This coincides with Farmers Insurance’s innovative business thinking and commitment to doing what is right for the communities we are privileged to serve. The employees and agents that we have trained for decades helped our clients have seamless service to meet their ever-changing needs. Protecting thousands of clients’ assets and mitigating risk with leading-edge products, our goal has always been to make sure our clients live their dreams and aspirations for generations to come.

Early on, we joined the Tucson Metro Chamber. The networking, education, and relationships from becoming involved opened many doors. We are fortunate that William Valenzuela was a great mentor and introduced us to volunteering opportunities with the military almost 20 years ago. Taking care of those who protect our freedom is a win-win and part of the DNA of our agency. Our company’s philanthropy has expanded to our employees who serve on numerous Boards and committees supporting children.

As the business stabilized, we joined relevant organizations including Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW), SADA, 162nd Fighter Wing Air Guardians, BNI, Lizzie Bell Foundation and the Foothills Club of Tucson.

Everything took longer than anticipated. However, patience has paid off and the gratitude we have for our outstanding family, clients and company keeps us appreciating our good fortune in recognizing what is important and loving playing our part in serving our amazing community every day.
