Felipe Garcia and Ian Roark Appointed to Tucson Metro Chamber Board of Directors
Tucson, AZ (September 24, 2018) – The Tucson Metro Chamber Board of Directors has appointed J Felipe Garcia, executive vice president for Visit Tucson and Ian Roark, vice president of workforce development for Pima Community College to fulfill available board positions.

Both embody the Chamber’s values and strengthen our strategic partnerships in Southern Arizona,” stated Barbi Reuter, chair of the Tucson Metro Chamber board of directors and President of Cushman & Wakefield | PICOR.
J Felipe Garcia, is the executive vice president of Visit Tucson. Garcia has a varied background in tourism, international trade, investments, business transactions and government strategies. At Visit Tucson he is responsible for developing and implementing programs to enhance the relationships between Tucson and Mexico. Garcia also works with Visit Tucson’s team in the tourism markets of the U.S., Canada and Europe, as well as the work of the Tucson Film Office.
Dr. Ian Roark, is the vice president of workforce development for Pima Community College. In his role, Roark serves to increase PCC’s responsiveness to the needs of businesses and industry and align the college’s programs to the workforce and economic development priorities of the region. He works with internal and external stakeholders to develop, revitalize and reform the college’s workforce and technical programs. Roark also oversees the workforce development and continuing education division, which serves nearly 6,000 students on an annual basis in workforce education, training and continuing education programs.
“The knowledge and expertise Ian and Felipe exhibit is well aligned with the Chamber’s priority areas and will be beneficial in our efforts to address workforce development and talent attraction, as well as other community issues that are critical for the prosperity of our region,” said Tucson Metro Chamber President and CEO Amber Smith.
